Cheios de boa energia
Julho deixou sementes para Um Plácido Domingo na residência que fizemos no Jardim da Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian e que juntou quase uma  centena de participantes. Julho deixou também um “doce de boca” pelas palavras com que Alexandre Delgado nos brindou aquando da apresentação de Bichofonia Concertante- Opus Formiguinha no Cistermúsica: “A «Bichofonia Concertante» ultrapassou todas as expetativas. É um espetáculo que delicia pessoas de qualquer idade: as crianças adoram e os adultos deliram com esse inacreditável cruzamento de Bocage, Kurt Weill e Ligeti que faz rir e pensar. Uma música fervilhante de graça e imaginação que cruza referências de todas as épocas duma forma orgânica e contagiante. Textos com toada de lengalenga que fazem uma crítica acutilante aos absurdos da vida moderna. Uma trupe de cantores-músicos-atores que nos eletriza com a sua comicidade irresistível. Um achado musico-teatral que merecia ficar em cena semanas a fio ...”.	Agosto foi tempo de pausa e de aprendermos com os pássaros, o mar e as nossas próprias crias. Estamos de regresso, cheios de luz e energia! Setembro vai trazer muito trabalho no âmbito do projecto Opus Tutti. Apoiado pelo Serviço de Educação da Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian e realizado em parceria com o Laboratório de Música e Comunicação na Infância do CESEM (Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas -UNL), este projecto tem como objetivo explorar modelos de trabalho e criar um conjunto de boas práticas de carácter artístico em intervenções direccionadas à infância. Integra acções dirigidas a diversos públicos-alvo a par de um estudo piloto numa creche. Um Plácido Domingo, a primeira dessas acções abertas à comunidade, brota de um conjunto de actividades de Música e Movimento partilhadas por crianças e adultos no fantástico Jardim da Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian em Lisboa.	Um Plácido Domingo é um diálogo performativo com pessoas - sobretudo os bebés e as crianças mais pequenas -, mas também com os pássaros, as árvores, a água, o vento, os aviões e outros personagens dominicais do Jardim.  Muitas serão as sementes a lançar no Campo das Flores Sonívoras, no Pomar dos Gamelões, na Mata da Casa dos Pássaros, no Paúl dos Tambores Cantantes, no Trilho do Rumor das Canas, pelo que a azáfama será grande. A sorte é que temos connosco um grupo dedicado de artistas, educadores, crianças, pais e avós que, ao longo do ano, transbordando de  sensibilidade e ternura a cuidar dos mais pequeninos, mostraram já acreditar na riqueza das experiências vividas na infância. Um Plácido Domingo será mais um momento especial neste viveiro de laços e afectos, essencial ao florescimento de novas espécies de contacto. Para transplantar depois para o terreno dos cuidados na infância.
Full of good vibrations
July  left the seeds for Um Plácido Domingo in the residency program we showcased in the Garden of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, gathering almost one hundred participants. July also left an "amuse-bouche" through the words of the composer Alexandre Delgado who attended our Beastophony Concertante, presented at the Music Festival of Alcobaça: "Beastophony Concertante - Opus Little Ant surpassed all expectations. It is a spectacle that enchants people of all ages: children love it and adults are delighted by this unbelievable junction of Bocage, Kurt Weill and Ligeti. The show is thought provoking while making us laugh. The music bubbles with grace and imagination cross-referencing different periods in an organic and contagious way. Texts were presented in a litany tone delivering humoristic and acute critics concerning the absurdities of modern life. A troupe of artists who sing, play and act in such a comic way that we cannot resist following the performance. A musical-theatrical gem deserving to stay onstage for week after week ...”	August was a time to pause and learn from the birds, the sea and our own offspring. Here we are again, full of light and energy! September will bring a lot of work for the project Opus Tutti.This project - in cooperation with the Laboratory for Music and Communication in Infancy of CESEM- Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas (UNL) and supported by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation - aims to develop good practices of artistic nature and try out models of intervention in the community that can contribute to a better quality of life and the integral development of the capacities of individuals starting from infancy. It integrates a pilot study in a nursery, part of a long term research action involving several target audiences and impacting on early childhood. Um Plácido Domingo- A Peacefull Sunday- is the first open community residency action emerging from that search of shared music and movement activities in the magnificent garden of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation in Lisbon.	It is a "performative dialogue" (a "site specific performance", a "garden-opera", a "happyning") that invites babies, young children as well as their caregivers to pause, listen, observe, explore, discover and enjoy a series of musical, choreographic and scenic events that develop as a dialogue with the elements of the garden. The final presentation will culminate in a new artistic residency at the Gulbenkian Garden in early September. Many seeds will be then tossed in the Soundvorous Flowers’ Field, in the Gamelans’ Orchard, in the House of Birds’ Forest, in the Drums Singing’s Moor and at Rumor of Reeds’ Tread. This will surely create a great buzz, but we are fortunate: our team (artists, educators, children, parents and grandparents) showing unlimited tenderness and sensitivity while caring for the little ones throughout the year, believe in the richness of the experience of infancy. Um Placido Domingo is a kind of a vivarium of ties and affections.  Later on, these bonds will be transplanted to the field of childcare.
