2012 acabou de chegar. É uma boa altura para olhar para o futuro. Para formular desejos, fazer planos. De começar a trabalhar para que tudo seja melhor. Aqui vai então um pequeno passo nessa direcção: com "cara nova" o "What´s UP?" de 2012 falará  do que vamos fazer proximamente e do que acabamos de fazer, mas também dará a conhecer o que pensam, fazem ou sentem outras pessoas com quem nos vamos cruzando, oferecerá algumas pistas para coisas boas que gostaríamos de partilhar e irá dando conta de notícias ou acontecimentos que farão com que o novo ano seja de facto interessante e positivo. 2012 has just arrived. It is a good time to look into the future, to formulate wishes and make plans. Time to start working towards improving things. So, here it is a small step in that direction: with a "new face", 2012´s What´s UP? will look at our coming up commitments and at the ones we just had, but it will also let you know what other people think, do or feel. It will bring about good things that we would like to share and it will let you know about things that will make it a real interesting and positive year. Happy New Ears!

Em Janeiro AliBaBach será apresentado no dia 14 no Teatro Municipal de Bragança e no dia 21 na Biblioteca Municipal de Vila Real . Helena Rodrigues inicia em Bruxelas o projecto "Artistic creation for infancy: a step towards scientific theoretical paradigms". O Opus Tutti tem sessões regulares (Creche e Apareche) programadas no Centro Infantil do Roseiral. Paulo Rodrigues e Diogo Moreda conduzirão o seminário Bending and Performing na Casa da Música a 14 e 15. Uma sessão especial da Patrulha será apresentada no Museu de Aveiro no dia 21.

In January, performances of AliBaBach will take place in Bragança on the 14th and Vila Real on the 21st. In Brussels, Helena Rodrigues will start the project "Artistic creation for infancy: a step towards scientific theoretical paradigms". Opus Tutti will have regular sessions (Creche e Apareche) at Centro Infantil do Roseiral. Paulo Rodrigues with Diogo Moreda will lead the seminar Bending and Performing at Casa da Música on the 14 and 15. A special session of Patrulha will take place at the Museu de Aveiro on the 21st.

Em Dezembro houve a apresentação do paper "Tuning Tuning" na conferência Presence in the Mindfield, Conciousness Reframed 12, no CCB em Lisboa, sessões de Ludofónica Experimental em Sines e a performance audiovisual colaborativa Roaratorio de Natal na Reitoria da Universidade de Aveiro. Paulo Rodrigues participou nos workshops Ecologia Híbrida de Guto Nóbrega na Universidade do Porto e o documentário Opus Tutti- Germinar de Pedro Sena Nunes foi apresentado na Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas, com a participaçao especial de Paulo Filipe Monteiro.

In December, the paper "Tuning Tuning" was presented at the conference Presence in the Mindfield, Conciousness Reframed 12, held at CCB in Lisbon. Experimental Ludophonics sessions took place in Sines and the collaborative audiovisual performance Roaratório de Natal was presented at Reitoria da Universidade de Aveiro. Paulo Rodrigues participated in the workshops Ecologia Híbrida by Guto Nóbrega at the University of Oporto. The documentary Opus Tutti-Germinar, by Pedro Sena Nunes, was presented at Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas, with the special participation of Paulo Filipe Monteiro.

"Compreender o que há de mais espontâneo numa comunicação em que a palavra se ausenta e o corpo se assume, é definitivamente o que me move nos dias de hoje. E é neste contexto que elejo a música como potencial facilitador de uma expressividade mais inibida, mas supostamente mais ‘natural’ e autêntica". Ana Paula Almeida é aluna de doutoramento em Música no Edinburgh College of Art, University of Edinburgh.

Within this context, I choose music as a potential facilitator of an inhibited expression, that  supposedly is more ‘natural’ and authentic."
