A CMT tem procurado desenvolver, a partir da música, ideias que permitam não só a fruição estética mas também a comunicação e o desenvolvimento de laços entre pessoas. De formas muito diversas, mas sempre com um sentido de procura e de expansão dum léxico que nos permita ouvir, ver e crescer melhor. Fevereiro marca o início de mais uma acção do projecto Opus Tutti e também a incubação de novos projectos de que iremos dando notícias.

CMT has been pursuing the development of music-based ideas aiming at aesthetic fruition as well as communication and creation of bonds between people. This is being done in very diverse manners, but always with the purposes of "finding out" and "expanding" our tools to listen, seeing and growing better. February will witness the beginning of a new action in the project Opus Tutti and also the incubation of new projects.

Em Fevereiro, e no âmbito do Opus Tutti - agora na fase Enraizar - iniciaremos um percurso criativo com pais, crianças e educadores da creche do Roseiral a que chamamos Afinação do Olhar e do Ouvir. Será um conjunto de sessões exploratórias entre Fevereiro e Maio que gradualmente se irá dirigir no sentido duma performance pública, a realizar na Fundação Gulbenkian. Aprofundaremos a ideia de explorar a música enquanto elemento potenciador de relações interpessoais e bem-estar na maximização de trabalho em equipa com "Team Tuning" em São Cosme do Vale. Helena Rodrigues apresentará uma conferência e uma oficina de formação para profissionais de educação de infância nos Encontros Arte e Educação Litoral Alentejano em Sines. Os trabalhos de edição prosseguem com especial destaque para a masterização de Bebé PlimPlim.

Within the scope of Opus Tutti - now in the phase Rooting - we will start a creative process with parents, children and educators from the Roseiral nursery. Afinação do Olhar e do Ouvir (the Tunning of Listening and Seeing) will involve several exploratory sessions between February and May that gradually will turn into a public performance, to be held at the Gulbenkian Foundation. We will pursue further the idea of exploring music as a catalyser of interpersonal relationships and team building with "Team Tuning" in São Cosme do Vale. Helena Rodrigues will deliver a talk and workshops for professionals working in early education at the Encontros Arte e Educação Litoral Alentejano in Sines. Work will continue on the edition of Bebé PlimPlim´s recordings, aiming its publication throughout the upcoming months.

Em Janeiro houve AliBaBach em Bragança e Vila Real, Helena Rodrigues iniciou em Bruxelas um projecto que envolve a CMT, o LAMCI-CESEM da Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas (UNL) e a Vrije Universiteit Brussels com o apoio da Vlaams Academisch Centrum - Centre for Adanced Studies of the Royal Flemish Academy of Belgium for Science and the Arts. Decorreram as sessões regulares do Opus Tutti (Creche e Apareche) no Centro Infantil do Roseiral. Paulo Rodrigues e Diogo Moreda conduziram o seminário Bending and Performing na Casa da Música e participaram na Handmade Music. Houve ainda uma sessão especial da Patrulha no Museu de Aveiro. A Patrulha, um “workshow” que pode ser feito num formato para escolas ou para famílias, propõe um safari à Enciclopédia da Música com Bicho, uma aventura musical com dois eminentes musicozoólogos do Institute for Advanced Bichofonics Research....

In January there were performances of AliBaBach in Bragança and Vila Real, Helena Rodrigues started in Brussels a project involving CMT, LAMCI-CESEM and the Vrije Universiteit Brussels with the support of the Vlaams Academisch Centrum - Centre for Advanced Studies of the Royal Flemish Academy of Belgium for Science and the Arts. Paulo Rodrigues and Diogo Moreda conducted the seminar Bending and Performing at Casa da Música and participated in the Handmade Music. There was a special session of Patrulha at the Aveiro Museum. Patrulha, a "workshow" with two formats, one for schools and the other for families, offers a safari to the Encyclopaedia of Music with Beasts, a musical adventure with two eminent musicozoologists from the Institute for Advanced Bichofonics Research....

I had a dream "A suitcase. A special suitcase, filled with sophisticated objects. Electrodes. ECG. Camera. Micro. CD-player. I recognize the suitcase. I use it daily in my research. In real life, as a researcher, but also as a therapist, musician and human being, I try to explore the intuitive pathway into interrelation connectedness. I witnessed music to be an important tool in this connectedness from the early mother-infant on by the means of vocal synchronizations, rhythmic synchronisations, physiological synchronizations. Oh, yes, heartbeat is music too!. Tootoom… Tootoom… Tootoom. The suitcase sings my name, wants me to follow and brings me to the airport. Tootoom… Tootoom. We sing loudly when we enter the plane and together with the propellers of the plane, the song accelerates. Me and the suitcase. TootoomTootoomTootoomTootoom! The tempo synchronizes my heartbeat. It is a message of excitement: A special baby is going to be born in Portugal, one of these days. A few hours later, awake and I learn the name of the baby! Music, intuition, connectedness, it belongs together in one suitcase." Martine Van Puyvelde is pursuing a PhD at Vrije University and collaborating in the research project supported by VLAC.

Resmas de Raps e Rimas é uma colecção de palavras que soam a música. Algumas foram canções, outras raps, poemas, histórias ou adivinhas. Ao longo de vários anos, o trabalho da CMT cruzou-se várias vezes com a Língua Portuguesa e esta colecção pretende agora disponibilizar este material para que ele cresça e se transforme. Em casa, na sala de aula. Onde quer que a música e a palavra se encontrem. Porque jorram da mesma fonte. Aqui!

Resmas de Raps e Rimas is a collection of words that sound like music. Some of them have been songs, others raps, poems, stories or riddles. Throughout the years, the work of CMT has encountered the Portuguese language several times and this collection intends to make this material available for further growing and transformation. At home, in the classroom, wherever the music and the words meet. Because they sprout from the same source. Here!

Está em planeamento o programa de itinerância do Gamelão de Porcelana e Cristal. Pretende-se agora definir projectos com duração entre 1 e 2 meses e com a possibilidade de dinamizar workshops e concertos abertos ao público em geral para o final de 2012.
