atento de todo o corpo. Ao longo de 2014 estaremos em vários
locais e de formas muito diferentes. É o Ano Frutificar do
Projecto Opus Tutti, vai ser um ano com muitas e boas notícias. |

started the New Year in the best way possible – with music being
listened by the whole body. Over the course of 2014, we will be in
various places playing very different roles. This is the year when
Opus Tutti will be Bearing Fruit, bringing much new and good news.

O
Teatro Municipal São Luiz acolherá em Fevereiro mais uma das
peças de Peça a Peça Itinerante (PaPI). Desta vez será o Opus 2,
que, à semelhança do que aconteceu com o Opus 1 em Janeiro, será
também apresentado numa creche da vizinhança do Teatro. Até
Julho haverá mais Opus, os Workshops Afinação do Ouvir e
Afinação do Brincar e Babelim. Que bom que é ter connosco o
Teatro Municipal São Luiz no Ano Frutificar de Opus Tutti!

| The Municipal Theatre of São Luiz will be hosting
another performance from the Play the Play season in February.
This time it will be Opus 2, which, as was the case with Opus 1,
will be performed in a crèche in the neighbourhood of the
theatre. In the run up to July, there will be more Opus
performances, the Afinação de Ouvir (Tuning your Ear) and
Afinação do Brincar (Tuning your Play) workshops, and Babelim.
It is really wonderful to have the Municipal Theatre of São Luiz
working with us in the year that Opus Tutti is Bearing Fruit! |

| Iniciámos em
Janeiro uma presença regular na programação da primeira parte do ano
do Teatro Municipal São Luiz. O Opus 1 foi apresentado no Jardim de
Inverno e outros Opus se seguirão, num modelo que permite que estas
peças sejam apresentadas no palco mas também em creches da
vizinhança. No caso do Opus 1 fomos à Creche Nossa Senhora do Bom
Conselho. Para que os mais pequenos pudessem partilhar estes
momentos especiais na companhia das suas educadoras e auxiliares de
educação e vir também ao Teatro na companhia das suas famílias. Opus
1 esteve também no Cacém, no Jardim de Infância da educadora Diva
que no ano passado esteve connosco na acção de formação Ludicidade e
Arte para a Infância. Foi lindo ver como os pequeninos responderam
de olhos esbugalhados ao som do violoncelo e às vozes. E
organizaram-se: com palmas, risos, vozes ritmadas. No final, uma das
crianças mais velhas pediu a palavra: "Eu não tenho nenhuma
pergunta. Só queria dizer uma coisa: - Gostei muito!” |

marked the start of a regular presence in the agenda for the first
half of the year at the Municipal Theatre of São Luiz. Opus 1 was
presented in the Jardim de Inverno and other Opus works will
follow, using a model that allows these works to be presented on
stage but also in neighbourhood crèches. In the case of Opus 1, we
went to the crèche of Nossa Senhora do Bom Conselho. In this way
the little ones are able to share these special moments in the
company of their childhood teachers and educational assistants and
also come to the Theatre with their families. Opus 1 also went to
Cacém and the kindergarten of Diva, the teacher who was with us in
the Ludicidade e Arte para Infância (Playfulness and Art for
Childhood) training session last year. It was wonderful to see how
the little ones looked on with bulging eyes to the sound of the
cello and voices. And they joined in: with clapping, smiling and
rhythmic voices. At the end one of the older children asked to
speak: “I don’t have any questions. I just want to say one thing:
- I really enjoyed it!” |

Creio que a música, tal como todo o saber gerado pela
arte e ciência, nos transforma no melhor sentido da existência
humana. O ‘belo’. Se houvesse mais ‘belo’ nos sentidos humanos
(no olhar, no ouvir, no tocar ...), talvez janelas mais largas e
translúcidas nos habitassem e, assim, avistando-nos, pudéssemos
melhor cuidar e tratar de nós próprios. Paluí, o meu último CD
de originais, é um sítio encantado quase indizível onde, através
dos olhares quiméricos da infância, nós, adultos, poderemos,
quem sabe, renascer Gerou em partilha dois filmes que
estão a concorrer no Fantasporto, continuando em construção nas
escolas, qual viagem pelas suas sonoridades, cores, cheiros e
palavras. Opus Tutti foi um dos seus portos.

I believe that music, like all knowledge generated by
art and science, transforms us in the best sense of human
existence. The sense of ‘beauty’. If there were more ‘beauty’ in
human senses (in looking, listening, touching), perhaps we would
have wider, more translucent windows within us, so that by
looking at each other we would be better able to care for and
treat ourselves. «Paluí», my latest CD of original works, is an
almost ethereal enchanted place where, through the chimeric eyes
of children, we adults can perhaps be reborn. Two films have
arisen from this work that are competing in the Fantasporto Film
Festival, which continue to be developed in schools as a journey
through its sounds, colours, smells and words. Opus Tutti was
one of its ports of call.

Resmas de Raps e Rimas é uma colecção de palavras que soam a
música. Algumas foram canções, outras raps, poemas, histórias ou
adivinhas. Ao longo de vários anos, o trabalho da CMT cruzou-se
várias vezes com a Língua Portuguesa e esta colecção pretende
agora disponibilizar este material para que ele cresça e se
transforme. Em casa, na sala de aula. Onde quer que a música e a
palavra se encontrem. Porque jorram da mesma fonte (Aqui).

more number from Resmas de Raps e Rimas (Reams of Raps and
Rhymes), this time Caracol (Snail). Resmas de Raps e Rimas is a
collection of words that sound like music. Some of them have been
songs, others raps, poems, stories or riddles. Throughout the years,
the work of CMT has embraced the Portuguese language several times
and this collection intends to increase the availability of this
material so it can continue to grow and transform. At home, in the
classroom, wherever the music and the words meet. Because they
sprout from the same source.(here). |

de ter passado pelo Centro Infantil Roseiral, o Peça a Peça
Itinerante (PaPI) está agora a chegar a mais creches e
jardins de infância com apresentações de Opus 1, Opus 2, Opus 6 e
Opus 7 no Patronato Cristo Rei- JI da Lapa, no JI do
Agrupamento de Escolas Manuel da Maia, no JI Rainha Santa Isabel,
no Centro Social e Paroquial da Pena, no Centro de Acolhimento
Infantil de Campolide, no JI da Escola Quinta do Campo, no
Hospital de Santa Maria e na Casa de Infância S.Vicente. E há boas
notícias: no Ano Frutificar de Opus Tutti mais teatros e
instituições culturais vão acolher o Peça a Peça
Itinerante (PaPI) nos seus espaços e partilhar estas
peças músico-teatrais destinadas à infância com creches e jardins
de infância da sua área geográfica. Para que a arte e a harmonia
cheguem a mais crianças e seus cuidadores.

Having
played at the Roseiral Childcare Centre, Play the Play is now
coming to more crèches and kindergartens with the performances
of Opus 1, Opus 2, Opus 6 and Opus 7: to Patronato Cristo Rei –
Lapa Kindergarten, to the kindergarten of the Manuel da Maia
Schools Group, to the Rainha Santa Isabel Kindergarten to the
Social and Parochial Centre of Pena, to the Childcare Centre of
Campolide, to the Kindergarten of Quinta do Campo School, to the
Santa Maria Hospital and to the Childcare Centre of S. Vicente.
And there is good news: the Bearing Fruit year of Opus Tutti
will see more theatres and cultural institutions receiving Play
the Play and sharing these musical theatre pieces designed for
early childhood and crèches and kindergartens in the local area.
So that art and harmony can reach more children and their
caregivers.
