Our inspiration is made of ideas and affects. Inner gardens where the stones grow with the singing of birds.

Março é tempo de Primavera. Num jardim de flores sonívoras, as abelhas valsam, o vento murmura e a chuva canta. As estrelas brilham e cintilam em caixas de música; os pássaros passam e param sem pressa. Uma borboleta pousa e diz que esta é a melhor forma de aprender a voar. Um jardineiro floresce e ensina a sua arte a outros cuidadores de plantas. É tempo de Opus 7 na Ericeira.

In a garden of sonorous flowers, the bees waltz, the wind whispers and the rain sings. The stars shine and twinkle in musical boxes; the birds fly over and linger a while. A butterfly lands and says that this is the best way to learn to fly. A gardener blooms and teaches his art to others so that they may care for the plants. It is the time for Opus 7 at Ericeira.

Conforme tinha sido previsto por astromúsicos, em Fevereiro a constelação ADP avistou-se no céu de Londres. Ouviu-se o cintilar dos sons da Anatomia do Piano e do Pianoscópio e o Super-Sonics também brilhou. Em Lisboa, na Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian, reflectimos sobre criação artística para a infância no Colóquio “É então isto para crianças?”. E Bruges ficou bem perto, com o AliBaBach no Concertgebow. Sempre a voar, AliBaBach mostrou, mais uma vez, "que até a música de Bach está enraizada na forma como comunicamos através de sons e gestos, e que o mais jovem dos nossos filhos está preparado para ser parte integrante desta experiência.”

As it had been forecasted by astromusicians, in February the Constellation ADP was visible in the London sky. At the London International Piano Symposium the scintillation of sounds from Anatomy of the Piano and Pianoscópio was heard. And Super-Sonics also shinned. In Lisbon, we reflected about artistic creation for childhood at the Colloquium “ So, is this for children?” held at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. Bruges became closer, with AliBaBach at Concertgebow. Always flying, AliBabach showed, once again, "that even Bach's music is rooted in the way we understand each other by means of sound and gestures, and that the youngest of our children are ready to be an integral part of this experience”.

O ambiente musical interactivo que desenvolvi (Sound=Space) permite que as pessoas se encontrem a si próprias através da sua criatividade musical, se expressem musicalmente sem qualquer preconceito quanto à sua experiência, aptidão ou capacidade. Fazer e criar música é uma fonte de imensa alegria. Rolf Gelhaar é compositor, artista digital, professor e um amigo muito especial. As suas ideias, o que nos ensinou e os projectos que partilhámos têm sido de importância fundamental na inspiração do nosso trabalho artístico e educativo.

The interactive musical environment I have developed (Sound=Space) allows people to encounter themselves via their musical creativity, to express themselves musically without any prejudice to their experience, skills or abilities. Making and creating music is a source of immense joy. Rolf Gelhaar is a composer, digital artist, professor and a very special friend. His ideas, teaching and projects shared have been of paramount importance in inspiring our artistic and educative work.
