Explorando as fronteiras entre a música, as artes visuais e o movimento, tecendo laços comunitários e paisagens de ouvir. |
| The wonderful month of May will certainly bring memories of Schumann, Love and Poetry. As it always does. The project GermInArte will have another important step forward at the Gulbenkian Foundation and a new project will start at the Piansocópio, at Fábrica da Ciência, this time with a very special group of people. Exploring the boundaries of music, visual arts and movement, weaving community ties and soundscapes. |

| Em Abril, os sons de Opus 7 floriram em Albarraque. O Opus 3 começou a germinar e o projecto GermInArte iniciou uma nova fase, na Fundação Gulbenkian, em direção à criação de uma série de actividades que partilharemos com muitos artistas e educadores num futuro próximo. GermInArte procura a TransFormação Artística para o desenvolvimento social e humano a partir da infância. Tivémos ainda a oportunidade de ouvir outras “primaveras” e apresentar o nosso trabalho na Conferência Internacional Early Childhood Music Education in the Mediterranean, organizada pelo Cyprus Centre for the Research and Study of Music: na International Conference Early Childhood in the Mediterranean. Aí mostramos um filme sobre Jardim Interior e partilhámos as nossas ideias sobre o desenvolvimento artístico de professores, educadores e artistas através de modelos de “formação imersiva”. |
| In April, the sounds of Opus 7 flourished in Albarraque. Opus 3 started to germinate, and the project GermInArte initiated a new phase, at the Gulbenkian Foundation, heading towards the creation of a series of activities which we will share with many artists and educators in the near future. GermInArte aims at Artistic TransFormation for human and social development since childhood. We also had the chance to listen to other “springtimes” and present some of our work: at the International Conference Early Childhood Music Education in the Mediterranean, organized by Cyprus Centre for the Research and Study of Music. We showed a film about Inner Garden and we shared our ideas about raising teachers’ artistry through “immersive training”. |

| Fazer trabalho artístico para crianças e com
crianças é uma dádiva. Como compositor e intérprete é uma fonte de
recompensas. É um desafio em todos os níveis mas ao mesmo tempo algo
que me dá a sensação de estar a fazer uma coisa boa, uma coisa
importante. Quero contribuir para que haja momentos de beleza,
esperança, diversão e paz. Gostaria que as crianças pudessem
experimentar por alguns momentos um mundo diferente, um tempo
diferente. Um andamento mais lento, uma realidade alternativa, uma
possibilidade. Um momento de tranquilidade e espanto. As crianças são
estranhas. Sabem que o que vêm é um faz-de-conta mas acreditam nisso.
eu quero dizer-lhes: isso também é o mundo. Isso também é possível. O
mundo também é assim. O mundo pode não ser um lugar bom, mas pode vir a

| Making artistic
work for and with children is a gift. As a composer and performer it is
extremely rewarding. It is challenging on all levels, yet still feels
like doing something that is good, something that is important. I want
to contribute to presenting moments of beauty, hope, fun and peace. I
would like the children to experience a few moments in a different
world, a different time. A slower pace, an alternate reality, a
possibility. A moment of tranquil and wonder. Children are strange.
They know what they see is make-believe, yet they still believe it. I
want to say to them; this is also the world. This is also possible. The
world is also like this. The world might not be a good place, but it
could be. The possibilities lies in you, in all of us. Nils Christian
