PaPI–Opus 12 — Synopsis
Call the ‘little monkey of imitation’ or the ‘little monkey of improvisation’? Look for a tree? Hang sounds? Open the eyes of the ear?
PaPI–Opus 12 is part of the Peça a Peça Itinerante (Portable Play to Play) cycle — musical theatre pieces designed to tour kindergartens and cultural and educational institutions interested in promoting access to culture. An idea born in the cradle of Opus Tutti, with the support of FCG. Now growing in the cradle of Casa das Artes de Vila Nova de Famalicão and Formação Imersiva em Arte para a Infância (Immersive Training in Art for Children) held in Loulé. ‘Okexmauzz!’

Her? No, perhaps ourselves. Is that a reflection of us, or are we a reflection of that?
They are successive fabrications of a being about itself. And, within itself, the entire universe.
The body stirs, restless, searching: inside and out. From the inside out, from the outside in. It intervenes, modifies, recreates. It applies itself, replicates itself, multiplies itself — a translucent medium, because none of the configurations remains. And it does not forget.
[Pause, to let it emanate.]
It continues to weave. They are accomplices: she and the objects. Another turn, another breath, rising and falling insistently and… everything is different!? What a rush of wind!…
Do we want to know where the light comes from? Or where it is going? Iridescence: is it luck or chance?
Brilliant.
