We are excited to announce the launch of the ABC Project, a groundbreaking initiative aimed at developing and testing innovative training methods for artists and educators with an artistic background. The primary goal is to train these professionals to create targeted and inclusive community projects, using music as a creative tool.
The ABC Project includes three immersive training actions in Portugal, Italy and Denmark with the participation of artists from the three countries. The training sessions are followed by artistic pilot experiences in the respective countries. The aim is to help bridge gaps in cultural participation and create meaningful experiences for disadvantaged communities. Thus, in order to promote access to culture, the pilot experiences are aimed at young families with limited access to cultural activities.
The results of the ABC Project will be integrated into the educational and artistic-cultural practices of the partner organizations and will be disseminated in universities, European networks such as RESEO and through other organizations dedicated to the creation and implementation of educational and cultural practices aimed at children and their families.
The ABC Project aims to promote positive changes in the arts and education sectors, such as collaborative work and inclusion.
I.Lab Mil Pássaros – Arts for Childhood Immersive Training, an initiative that will take place between July 29 and August 3, and that has been supported by the Municipality of Loulé, is part of the first activity of the project.
The ABC Project is funded by EU through the Erasmus + program as a Small Scale Partnership between Music-theatre Company Figaros (Denmark), Compagnia Teatrale L’Albero (Italy) and Companhia de Musica Teatral (Portugal).
