When passing through Lisbon, the constellation returned to the piece of sky where it had taken its first steps. The challenge of Fábrica das Artes, CCB had led to a first demonstration in April with Prelúdio Para a Liberdade, a participatory experience that echoed the resonances of Avenida da Liberdade two days earlier. After that, Freedom (Liberdade) travelled to Salir, Loulé, Famalicão and Rida de Ave. It grew up with the voices and playing of children, artists and educators, it was a Mural da História Comum twice in Loulé, it let itself be carried away by the birds of the i.Lab and when it arrived in Famalicão it had the shape of a music-theatre piece. It was this piece (A Liberdade a Passar Por Aqui) that then inhabited the Fábrica das Artes in October for a period that culminated in performances at BigBang. Kindergartens and families, little ones and grown ups, sharing with us a very close and different experience every day. At the same time, the Mural da História Comum was being revisited/reassembled and gave rise to a new participatory process, this time with adolescents and young people from the Escola Secundária Marquês de Pombal. We still don’t know how to explain what freedom is to such a vast and diverse group of people. But we do know that it’s possible to ‘taste’ it. By making it tangible, by proposing ways of experiencing it, of touching it, with the body, in the first person and in relationships with others.
