The presentation of DBW25 at the XIV ICACSHD, in Lisbon, was a very interesting moment of sharing, dialogue and listening. It made us imagine that in 2025 we could explore the idea of a “guided tour”, in the form of a conversation, preferably in contexts related to the “journey” of the Pianoscópio, the laboratory, home and studio where we recorded DBW25. Recording at the Pianoscópio had a profound influence on what can now be heard on the CD, and this opens up many doors for an in-depth dialogue, not only about what was recorded, but also about what our work, our ideas and our journey. The Pianoscópio is permanently housed at the Marvão International Academy for Music, Arts and Sciences, but has made several “journeys” that were decisive in its maturation.

One of these took place at Museu de Etnomúsica da Bairrada, which is almost the same as saying at Escola de Artes da Bairrada, which is “on the other side of the courtyard”. It was a few years ago, but some of the reverberations remained at the school and that’s wherw we returned for this first Visiita Guiada a DBW25 Just like what happened in Lisbon, it was a lively dialogue. Very lively, fun and beautiful because the room was full of attentive ears of various ages. There were many questions. Some prompted answers that seemed like stories. Others were left unanswered. There are things that Music explains better,
