In March

We were in Denmark, at Maltfabrikken in Ebeltoft, for another stage of the ABC project. We worked with our partners Musikteatret Figaros (DK) and Compagnia Teatrale l’Albero (IT) and presented PaPI-Opus 10 for local kindergarten children.

There were Conversas a Meias at LAMCI-LEC - Colégio Almada Negreiros, Lisbon: with the presentation of João Maria André’s latest book, and an Open Class with Michael Goldstein in the Postgraduate Course Music in Infancy. We were at the University of Edinburgh with colleagues and friends, celebrating the life and career of Colwyn Trevarthen.

A Liberdade a Passar Por Aqui

The show A Liberdade a Passar Por Aqui will be performed at Cineteatro Louletano for schools and families, and the mediation action Prelúdio Para a Liberdade should revive memories, returning to the "blank page," the playful and creative environment that lies at the origin of the constellation.

April will also be a time to create (we will hold the first creative residency of the new constellation Cartografia Sonora Imaginária, in Aveiro).
It will also be time to learn how to listen to the world and how to take care of it (we'll be at Metamorfose, in Parque da Devesa in Vila Nova de Famalicão) with the workshop Murmúrios das Árvores.
We will participate in the Webinar Balance and Wellbeing for Teachers and Artists integrated in Programa Som e Cidadania promoted by Escola Profissional Artística do Alto do Minho.
Applications are now open for i.Lab #2025 - Arts for Childhood – Immersive Training in Loulé.
The first phase of applications for the Postgraduate Course in Music in Childhood: Intervention and Research runs until April 21st.

Highlight

Artistic Beginnings in Co-Creation (ABC)

The ABC Project, funded by the EU through the Erasmus+ program, is a partnership between the Figaros Musical Theatre Company (Denmark), Compagnia Teatrale L’Albero (Italy), and Companhia de Música Teatral (Portugal). Between 2024 and 2025, the ABC Project included three immersive training actions in Portugal, Italy, and Denmark, with the participation of artists from all three countries, followed by pilot experiences in their respective locations. In Loulé, Matera, and more recently, Ebeltoft, the ABC Project enabled the sharing of experiences, fostered collaborative work, and stimulated creative processes to promote positive changes in the arts and education sectors.
