Amanhã, dia 1 de Outubro, celebra-se em Portugal o Dia Mundial da Música. “Navegamos neste rio sem saber onde vai dar, quem navega não sossega, um dia há-de ver o mar. Temos frutos e sementes, temos tudo e a vontade de fazer um jardim novo, com mais flores e liberdade.”

Tomorrow, the 1st of October, Portugal will celebrate World Music Day. ‘We sail on this river without knowing where it will lead, those who sail do not rest, one day they will see the sea. We have fruits and seeds, we have everything and the will to make a new garden, with more flowers and freedom.’

Em Outubro

A constelação Aguário brilhará em Montemor-o-Novo e Albergaria-a-Velha: a peça-mãe (Aguário) será apresentada no Cineteatro Curvo Semedo e as Oficinas da Água terão lugar no espaço que acolhe também a instalação Acquarumori no Cineteatro Alba. No início do mês o espetáculo A Liberdade a Passar Por Aqui será apresentado no Cineteatro Narciso Ferreira em Riba d’Ave e, mais tarde, terá um conjunto alargado de apresentações na Fábrica das Artes, Centro Cultural de Belém (CCB), que culminarão no Festival BigBang. A mesma constelação deverá dar origem ao Mural da História Comum também no CCB. O Gamelão de Porcelana e Cristal ressoará no Palácio do Marquês em Oeiras. Em Évora, no Eborae Musica, apresentaremos os PaPIs Opus 7 e Opus 10 (pré-estreia) e a formação t.Lab Práticas Artísticas para a Infância.

The Aguário constellation will shine in Montemor-o-Novo and Albergaria-a-Velha: the main piece (Aguário) will be presented at Cineteatro Curvo Semedo and the Oficinas da Água will take place in the space that also hosts the Acquarumori installation at Cinetatro Alba. In the beginning of the month, the show A Liberdade a Passar Por Aqui will be presented at Cineteatro Narciso Ferreira in Riba d'Ave and, later, there will be an extended series of performances at Fábrica das Artes, Centro Cultural de Belém (CCB), culminating in the Festival BigBang. The same constellation should give rise to the Mural da História Comum, also at CCB. The Gamelão de Porcelana e Cristal will resonate at the Palácio do Marquês in Oeiras, and in Évora, at Eborae Musica, we will present PaPIs Opus 7 and Opus 10 (preview) and the t.Lab Práticas Artísticas para a Infância training programme.

Em Agosto e Setembro

Em Agosto, em Loulé, concluímos a Formação Imersiva i.Lab Mil Pássaros com o lançamento do livro “Florir a Sul” e uma performance para os mais pequeninos. Entre Agosto e Setembro a instalação Mil Pássaros, esteve no Convento São Francisco, em Coimbra, integrada no Dar a Ouvir — O Som de Todas as Coisas. E no Museu de Arte Contemporânea do Chiado continuámos a integrar Feeling, convocando conhecimento científico e criação artística na experiência estética do bebé. No início de Setembro estivemos com a Ornitópera no Theatro Gil Vicente em Barcelos que foi premiada com o YAMAward para Melhor Opera em Bodo Noruega (ver Highlight). Em Bodo, também, apresentamos a comunicação A New Path to Musical Communication. Em Albergaria-a-Velha iniciámos um percurso pela constelação Aguário, com a instalação Acquarumori. O Gamelão de Porcelana e Cristal cintilou em Estarreja. Estreámos o espetáculo A Liberdade a Passar Por Aqui na Casa das Artes de Vila Nova de Famalicão.

In August, in Loulé, we concluded the Formação Imersiva i.Lab Mil Pássaros with the launch of the book ‘Flowering South’ and a performance for the little ones. Between August and September, the installation Mil Pássaros was at the Convento São Francisco in Coimbra, as part of Dar a Ouvir - O Som de Todas as Coisas. And at the Chiado Museum of Contemporary Art we continued to integrate Feeling, bringing together scientific knowledge and artistic creation in the aesthetic experience of the baby. At the beginning of September we performed Ornitópera at the Theatro Gil Vicente in Barcelos, which was awarded the YAMAward for Best Opera in Bodo, Norway (see Highlight). In Bodo, too, we presented A New Path to Musical Communication. In Albergaria-a-Velha we began a journey through the Aguário constellation, with the installation Acquarumori. The Gamelão de Porcelana e Cristal tinkled in Estarreja. We premiered the show A Liberdade a Passar Por Aqui at the Casa das Artes de Vila Nova de Famalicão.

Highlight

O espetáculo Ornitópera foi distinguido com o prémio Melhor Ópera e Prémio Escolha do Público nos Young Audiences Music Awards (YAMAwards). Os YAMAwards são prémios internacionais, organizados pela Jeunesses Musicales Internacional (JMI), que identificam, apoiam e premeiam a criatividade e a inovação no campo das produções musicais para a infância. A JMI tem como missão garantir a todos os jovens e crianças o acesso à música e à cultura. Ornitópera é uma história sobre pássaros contada através da música – a linguagem dos pássaros. Uma história muito antiga, que é também um poema ou se calhar uma metáfora sobre o que há de mais profundo sobre o ser humano.

Ornitópera was awarded Best Opera and Public Choice Award at the Young Audiences Music Awards (YAMAwards). The Young Audiences Music Awards is an international award, organized by Jeunesses Musicales International (JMI), which identifies, supports and rewards creativity and innovation in the field of musical productions for children. JMI has the mission to "enable young people to develop through music across all boundaries”. Ornitópera is a story about birds told through music - the language of birds. A very old story, which is also a poem or perhaps a metaphor about what is deepest about the human being.
