Echoes

In November

PaPI Opus 11 premiered in V. N. Famalicão: there were presentations in the municipality’s kindergartens and at Casa das Artes. The Porcelain and Crystal Gamelan was part of the Mi-Festival de Música e Criatividade Infantil at Cineteatro Alba in Albergaria-a-Velha. The installation could be visited throughout the entire festival, and there were workshops with schools as well as a guided participatory session. PaPI Opus 10 travelled to Loulé, where it was presented in the municipality’s kindergartens and at the Auditório do Solar da Música Nova. It then continued on to Fundão, where it was presented in the municipality’s kindergartens, in collaboration with A Moagem. The Mil Pássaros em Liberdade project took PaPI Opus 8.z to several institutions to whom we grant special recognition.

The Semear Pássaros training was in Maia, in another collaboration with the Música a Partir do Berço project, this time to bring the world of birds to kindergarten teachers. The XV International Colloquium Arts for Childhood and Social and Human Development brought us together with old and new friends, at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and online, continuing a story, a vision, and a direction.

Other Journeys

  • Between 2022 and 2024, Companhia de Música Teatral was part of the Ur-GENTE Project. A memorable journey that included immersive trainings, online mentoring, transdisciplinary participatory creation, presentation of pieces from the CMT repertoire, and other ways of giving shape to a dream: the creation of the first Transdisciplinary Performing Arts Centre in Bissau. Ursonâncias, a documentary by Luís Margalhau about this experience, premiered at the XV EIAIDSH at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. On December 5, it will be shown at Djintis 2, in Guinea. No sta djuntu.
