In February

February was a month of Itinerancies for the Peça a Peça cycle. PaPI–Opus 11 visited the Casa das Artes in Vila Nova de Famalição and surrounding schools. PaPI–Opus 10 brought freedom to the Municipal Theatre of Bragança. And the new PaPI–Opus 12 took its first steps in an artistic residency at the Laboratório de Música e Comunicação na Infância at NOVA–FCSH. Feliz Encontro also continued its journey, this time at the Fernando Rosado concert hall in Oeiras.

A Liberdade a Passar Por Aqui

We tend to realise what freedom is and how important it is when we miss it. It is a precious gift that needs to be nurtured. How do you explain or talk about it to little ones? Perhaps with music. Revisiting melodies, rhythms, words, ideas and stories that are part of history and turning them into an artistic experience was one of the challenges that CMT embraced in 2024, a symbolic year for freedom and for CMT (25th anniversary). The show A Liberdade a Passar Por Aqui (Freedom Passing Through Here) was born that year and since then has not stopped singing about Freedom, because we will never stop wanting to celebrate it.
