Universo–CMT now features another constellation: M de Manifesto – comprising the main piece (M de Manifesto) and an outreach initiative (Bastidores de M de Manifesto). M de Manifesto builds on the idea of ‘harmony between people, birds and flowers’ and seeks to raise questions about the female condition.

In June

June began with a celebration of World Children’s Day featuring PaPI–Opus 7 at the 31st Sementes Festival in Almada. PaPI–Opus 12 took on new forms during yet another artist residency in Montemor-o-Novo. In Aveiro, we took part in the As Redes e a Interdisciplinaridade Artística conference. PaPI–Opus 8.z served as a meeting point for anyone who wanted to open their Zoom window to welcome it and let their imagination run wild. To round off the month, PaPI–Opus 7 visited the Anjos Palace in Oeiras.

i.Lab #2026 – Arts for Childhood – Immersive Training

At the end of July, we will return to Loulé for another edition of i.Lab. Over the course of a week, the CMT team and the trainees will have the opportunity to learn, create and transform together through art, in an edition dedicated specifically to improvisation. The training programme will culminate in a presentation of an artistic experience aimed at families with babies.

M de Manifesto

To give life to an artistic and educational constellation within the CMT-Universe, a first star is needed to mark the beginning of a constantly expanding map of ‘celestial bodies’.

M de Manifesto was the star that gave its name to and launched CMT’s new constellation – a performance that blends music, theatre, movement and imagery in a succession of performative scenes seeking to raise questions about the female condition — from childhood to motherhood, from invisibility to resistance, from imposed social roles to the possibility of deconstructing them. In M de Manifesto, a space is created for voices that are often interrupted, fragmented or silenced — voices which, when brought together, form a collective Manifesto. A space aimed at everyone, open to doubt, empathy and connection.
