Flossolalia #1 is an audiovisual poem based on a reinterpretation of Géricault’s The Raft of the Medusa and the imaginary voices that the painting “whispered” to Alberto Manguel. The words took on a life of their own and inhabited the bodies and languages of some friends and friends of friends whom we invited to be part of a “raft” built with 19 voices and 16 languages, which could be glimpsed in Prague´s Cartografia Sonora Imaginária. Several thousand kilometers and several days later, the audiovisual poem took its current form, perhaps the first of a broader set of flossolalic studies.
