Mil Pássaros is inspired by a Japanese legend which says that if you make a wish whilst folding a thousand orizuru (paper birds made using the Japanese art of origami), that wish will eventually come true.
The project moves from place to place and, just as with birds, there is sometimes a desire to return to the places where beauty can be found.
This is what happened in Fundão: in 2024, many children and adults shared a collective dream.
In 2026, we returned in the spring with Semear Pássaros. And in the autumn, will we once again catch a sight of the dream, the utopia and beauty?
