In one of the initial versions of the Mil Pássaros project (Lisbon, European Green Capital 2020), we learned that the restrictions caused by the lockdown required new ways of connecting with the people for whom we had imagined our artistic experiences. The impossibility of sharing the “real” space pushed us to explore other ways to continue working on the “tuning of people, birds, and flowers” in the “virtual” space, which, in turn, led to ideas such as Poemário Vivo, Zyg, Zag & Zoom, and PaPi Opus 8.z. The quality and interest of these experiences encouraged us to continue investing in the possibility of maintaining some of these ideas, because there are many situations of isolation and limited access to art experiences that can be overcome this way. The Mil Pássaros em Liberdade initiative, which will take place at the beginning of July, will allow PaPi Opus 8.z to reach hospitalized children and schools and institutions that have expressed interest in receiving our work. This is a social responsibility action framed within the activity plan supported by DGARTES and with the support of Casa Das Artes de Famalicão | Teatro Narciso Ferreira.
